Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17th of March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick (c. 385 – c. 461), the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
The symbol of St. Patrick is a three-leaf shamrock. We wear a shamrock on St. Patrick’s Day because, legend says, St. Patrick used its three leaves to explain the Holy Trinity in his teachings.
